At What Price ?

Just recently, the U.S. Secretary of Defense - Leon Panetta -  lifted the ban on women serving in ALL roles of the military.... provided they meet the qualifications.

As you know .. when it comes to our vets who come home , some have had a hard time dealing with and being treated for PTSD . Physical injuries ? Prompt care and benefits . Mental issues from combat ? Not so fast.

Has the D.O.D thoroughly improved their policies and procedures for handling this malady for our soldiers after they've given so much for you and me ?

 If not ? ..............

I ' d like the thoughts and input from everyone viewing this .

 For the Defining Moment

 ( I remain )

 Respectfully yours ,

 Gavin St. Clair

  1. Yo what up, Gavin!

In my humble opinion: I am all for it! I personally will never fight in the armed forces for this country that I call home, so if ladies wish to die for the freedoms I have the right to take for granted, then by all means, go right ahead!

I see that we are headed towards equality in all sorts of ways, since Obama took office. Such as removing don't ask don't tell laws in military against homosexuals, and giving them the right to get married as well, (in select states)and I feel thats great!

Pretty soon I wont be looked at weird when I refuse to hold doors open for ladies, and elderly! Take that feminism! haha, just kidding ladies, I am a Gentleman.

  2. The medical organization at large pushes pharmacology for mental health. If it can't be solved with a pill, then it was never really a problem in the first place.

Our mental well being is of such paramount importance that I believe all people should have life coaches. Many of us take it upon ourselves to manage and understand our own happiness, but the majority don't and suffer greatly for it.

I hope the science of mental health grows up and accepts that there are certain things that don't need to be explained by chemical processes, some things are just important to address directly.

    1. My concern is the treatment , actually the lack thereof, by the military to the many men who gave their sanity for this country and how they are now ( possibly ) extending that uncaring care to women who serve and then suffer P. T. S. D as a result. D. O. D's record speaks volumes.
